David Garrigues at MYC in June

David Garrigues will visit Copenhagen first time June 19-21 2015 to teach an in-depth weekend workshop at Mysore Yoga CPH. David Garrigues is the director of the Ashtanga Yoga School of Philadelphia and one of a few teachers in the US certified to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Sri K Pattabhi Jois.

As an Ashtanga Ambassador David bases his teachings on the idea that ‘Anyone can take practice’, a core idea in the teachings of Pattabhi Jois. In this weekend workshop we’ll investigate specific aspects of the Ashtanga Yoga practice in detail. The workshop topics are: ‘Ashtanga Foundations 1: The Five Allies in Surya Namaskara’, ‘Ashtanga Foundations II and III – Standing Sequence, Seated Postures & Dynamic Transitions of Primary Series’,‘Precision, Purification & Pranayama’, ‘Asana Kitchen’ and ‘Intro to Second Series and Pranayama’.

The workshop is suitable for anybody with an established Ashtanga yoga practice, basic understanding of at least the first half of the Primary Series and a motivation to learn.
