Goodbye Dronning Olgas Vej!

After nearly six years at Dronning Olgas Vej 15A, we are discovering once again, that the only constant is change, and every story has an end. Fortunately in life every ending is also a new beginning. This post gives you an update about MYC’s move at the end of the year and what will happen next.

After months of serious soul searching, accompanied by long discussions about the current rental agreement and future prospect of our space, we have come to a conlusion that staying at Dronning Olgas Vej is no longer a meaningful and viable option for us. Our move out date will be December 31, 2017.

It’s been an amazing space and a truly incredible time. Sending this newsletter feels somewhat emotional, but with every sunset the sun continues to rise and shine. The legacy of that space will always continue to shine its light through all of us. For this we sincerely thank you!

What now?

The regular schedule will run at Dronning Olgas Vej until the end of the year (holiday schedule is already online). Let’s make the most out of it!

After the New Year, we’ll continue morning Mysore classes at Satya Yoga just a few hundred meters from our current location. Lovely Lone and Thomas have granted us use of their beautiful Iyengar yoga studio. The classes will be special and intimate, and we invite you to create something unique together.

The address is Hørsholmsgade 26 st.tv and the class hours, at least to get started with, are Monday to Friday from 6.30 to 9.30, on Saturdays from 7.30 to 9.30. Mysore only. As we get closer to the end of the year we’ll provide practical updates about the transition.

During the winter and spring there will be more news about the future steps and directions. Journey continues. Stay tuned, stay with us and practice on. Without you we wouldn’t be doing what we are doing, and with your support we will keep developing, growing and teaching.

For now, thank you and see you soon!
With love and gratitude, Mikko and Helena

P.S. If you are not used to the morning practice, we recommend giving it a go with an open mind. Mornings are nurturing and the practice carries you nicely throughout the day. You will most likely find a tons of new energy. It saves time, too. Start it easy and short, and slowly allow your new routine to blossom with you.

P.P.S. Lastly, a word about mundane technicalities: all the memberships will continue without interruption. Contact us if any questions or concerns. Additionally, please make sure you collect your mat, any belongings, and lost & found items by the end of the year. Clothes and mats left behind will be donated to a good cause.
