How to get started?

Every Astanga practitioner has stepped onto a mat for the very first time and we all remember what it feels like to start something new. With that in mind we aim to make your start as easy as possible. If you have any doubts or feel unsure, you are always welcome to observe a class before beginning your own practice.

  • Ashtanga yoga - Astanga yoga - Mysore Yoga CPH - Copenhagen - København - FrederiksbergIf you are new to Astanga yoga and Mysore practice, the best way to get started is to attend an Intro class. After the Intro session you will continue in regular classes and start building up your own personal routine.
  • Alternatively you can jump straight in and start your practice in Mysore classes. If you are new to the practice and want to start without intro class, let us know in advance. If you have an established practice just show up. Always register and pay online before your first visit.
  • In Mysore classes you will receive individual guidance, and it is the best and most effective place to learn the basics and deepen the yoga. In monthly Led Primary Series classes experience with at least the standing sequence is advised, but otherwise they are for students of all levels.
  • Our ‘New Student Special’ deal will give you a full month of unlimited practice for 500 kr without any commitment. You can take advantage of the offer once, if you are a new student and a local resident.

Mysore style Astanga yoga practice offers a highly personalised approach without the cost of a private lesson. No preparation is needed, just get started. The sooner, the better. Beginners practice takes 45-60 minutes.
