The spine is our inner pillar—the central support of the body and a vital pathway of awareness. In this workshop, we will learn about the anatomy of the spine and move into backbending postures from the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary and Intermediate Series. We will explore a range of variations, progressing from accessible foundations to more advanced expressions, making the practice inclusive for all levels and bodies. With mindful attention, we will backbend safely and consciously, building strength and stability while inviting a healthy, spacious opening through different regions of the spine.
