Yoga Lab: Breath and Bandhas Deconstructed

Yoga Lab - Breath and Bandhas in Astanga YogaSaturday June 16th, 10-12.30, with Mikko

Sri K Pattabhi Jois used to say ‘Astanga Yoga practice is a breathing practice, the rest is just bending’.

Correct breath is the key to the practice. Breath leads us to understanding bandha, and every pose grows out of its root, mula bandha. Applying breath and bandha correctly results to lightness and ease to the practice, and brings the mind naturally towards concentration and stillness.

In this workshop:

  1. We build up the breathing technique correctly
  2. From breath we will build up bandhas
  3. We will explore how breath and bandhas work together in selected asanas, as well as in basic pranayama, breathing practice

Workshop is open for all levels with established practice. Tea and snacks are provided.

Cost kr. 150. Registration through eShop or by email, info@mysoreyogacph.dk.
