New Events and Workshops

On May 15th, Mysore Yoga CPH has been open two weeks. We want to thank all our old and new friends for making the first weeks memorable! And that’s not all, we’re happy to announce a bunch of upcoming events and workshops that not only help you to take your practice to a new level, but helps us to create and bring together a vivid community.

  • On June 1st Mysore Yoga CPH will reach the respectful age of one month and we want to share a morning with all of you. On Saturday June 2nd we’ll have an additional explorative class on the schedule, followed by a happy (and hopefully sunny) potluck brunch together. The class is free for everybody – both members and non-members.
  • On June 16th we will launch the ”Yoga Lab” mini workshop concept. In our first session we dive deeper into the core of the practice, breath and bandhas. Pattabhi Jois used to say: ”Astanga Yoga is a breathing practice, the rest is just bending”. In this workshop we build up the breathing technique correctly, and from breath we will build up bandhas.
  • We are pleased to welcome Olle Bengtström from Göteborg, Sweden, who will teach October 12th-14th together with Mikko a ”Mysore Old Shala Style” 3-day weekend intensive. Workshop focuses on breaking down old patterns and building up a new kind of awareness of key concepts of Astanga practice. Group is limited to 12 students and it’s on a “first come, first serve” basis.
  • We are happy to announce that Petri Räisänen has found a slot in his extremely full calendar and will visit us in 2013. Petri is a co-founder of Astanga Yoga Helsinki and an author of two Astanga books (as well as a punk rock singer). More information to come! Meanwhile check out Petri’s website here.
